Shaping a United European XR Ecosystem
XR4Europe is a pan-European association providing leadership and support for Europe’s XR and virtual worlds ecosystem. It brings together national and regional XR associations, universities and research institutions, SMEs and large companies, entrepreneurs, and creators working across all sectors and application areas, from culture and education to health, industry, and public services.
Created to carry on the achievements and grow the impact of the EU-funded XR4ALL project, XR4Europe is a Brussels-based non-profit association actively shaping European priorities around ethical, human-centred, and interoperable XR. Its activities span policy dialogue, standards and interoperability, ethics and responsible innovation, market intelligence, skills, and ecosystem coordination, delivered through programmes, working groups, events, and publications.
XR4Europe was a partner in the Horizon Europe project XR4HUMAN and continues the development and dissemination of its key outputs, in particular the European XR Code of Conduct. XR4Europe is also a partner in the Horizon Europe project OPENVERSE, supporting the EU’s Strategic Initiative on Virtual Worlds. Beyond CSAs, XR4Europe also participates in applied innovation and capacity building projects such as VR Health Champions, funded by the I3 Programme, LEAPXR, funded by EIT Higher Education, and the IMPULSE Programme.

- Amplify: Elevate the voices of our members, helping them reach new audiences and markets and to be heard at the European level.
- Advocate: Represent the needs and concerns of the industry and its stakeholders at the European level, engaging with counterparts, such as the European Commission and international initiatives.
- Facilitate: Create new opportunities for our members through matchmaking, scouting, and real-time information about open calls and funding opportunities.
