European XR Associations, Clusters and Hubs

XR4Europe’s Full Members represent national and regional XR ecosystems across Europe. The map highlights associations, clusters, and hubs that serve as local entry points into their respective communities, alongside partner community organisations in Poland and Türkiye.

Why representative bodies matter

Europe’s XR ecosystem is spread across many countries, regions, languages, and sectors. Strong local work is often happening in companies, creative studios, research groups, universities, cultural organisations, and public-sector initiatives that may not be easily visible from the outside. National and regional associations, clusters, and hubs help make these ecosystems discoverable by giving external stakeholders a trusted starting point for finding partners, clients, providers, collaborators, and expertise.

These representative bodies are also important channels of information exchange between local ecosystems and regional, national, and EU-level policymakers. They help ensure that stakeholder consultations, policy discussions, funding priorities, and regulatory debates are informed by the realities of the companies, researchers, creators, and institutions working directly with XR and virtual worlds technologies. They also organise meetups, events, demonstrations, and exhibitions that connect local stakeholders, support business development, fuel industry adoption, and grow audiences for creative and cultural XR applications. For XR4Europe, they are essential partners in connecting local needs and expertise with pan-European collaboration, advocacy, and ecosystem development.

XR4Europe’s Full Members and their communities

XR4Europe’s Full Member tier is reserved for national and regional associations, clusters, hubs, and representative bodies working on behalf of XR, immersive technology, and virtual worlds ecosystems.

XR4Europe supports its Full Members by sharing EU-level insights on policy developments, industry trends, funding opportunities, grant programmes, stakeholder consultations, and relevant European initiatives. This includes helping national and regional stakeholders identify opportunities to participate in EU-funded industry research, including studies and consultations led by organisations such as the Joint Research Centre.

XR4Europe also organises cross-border bridge-building activities that connect ecosystems across countries and regions. Through online meetups, workshops, showcases, and matchmaking activities, XR4Europe helps Full Members and their communities explore collaboration opportunities across the EU Single Market and internationally, utilising European XR and virtual worlds platforms as practical tools for networking, demonstration, and exchange.

The Membership Discount Programme is another way XR4Europe supports its Full Members. Companies, organisations, universities, institutions, and professionals that are members in good standing of a participating Full Member receive a 33% reduction on XR4Europe membership fees. The discount applies to Gold Associate, Silver Associate, Startup/SME Associate, and Individual Professional memberships.

This programme strengthens engagement across all levels of representation, from municipal, regional, and national ecosystems to European-level, by supporting companies and professionals to remain active in their local association, cluster, or hub while also benefiting from XR4Europe’s pan-European network, visibility, advocacy, matchmaking, and access to opportunities.

Represent an XR ecosystem?

XR4Europe welcomes national and regional associations, clusters, hubs, and representative bodies that support XR, immersive technology, and virtual worlds communities.

Full Membership is designed for organisations that want to increase visibility for their ecosystem, connect members to European opportunities, contribute to advocacy work, and participate in a wider network of XR representative bodies.
