XR4EUROPE tightened its links with Stereopsia EUROPE – the Immersion Forum, to host its Annual Event on 17-18-19 October (Brussels, Belgium).

This 14th edition marks multiple novelties in the programme:  (1) the inaugural General Assembly of the Association, (2) the brand new EUROPE Track to shed light on the vibrant European XR scene and how EU decision-makers are taking action by launching a VR/AR Industrial Coalition and funding schemes geared towards the growth of the AR/VR sector in Europe, (3) accelerator and coaching programmes. The very first edition of the IMPULSE Programme, a joint initiative by XR4EUROPE, Laval Virtual, VR Days, and IFFR Pro; will kick-off at Stereopsia with IMPULSE | SMEs. As a celebration and bridge between companies leveraging immersive technologies and cultural heritage operators, the Heritage-LIX Contest will host conferences, roundtables and pitching sessions to support the scale-up of ambitious immersive projects for European cultural heritage.

EUROPE TRACK

XR4EUROPE is the proud initiator of the inaugural EUROPE Track which aims at creating opportunities and synergies to boost the XR sector in Europe, via talks and networking.

XR4EUROPE is thrilled to host the first official presentation of XR4HUMAN, a newly funded Horizon Europe project that will kick-off in November under the leadership of the University of South-Eastern Norway, and in which XR4EUROPE will lead the Stakeholder Engagement and Horizontal Coordination Work Package. This project aims to generate European Standards for XR that will help accelerate ethical and human-centred development process for hardware and software manufacturers.
